Pantalakis Theodore
Chairman - Governor of ATEbank Group
Born in 1954 in Herakleion of Crete, holds a degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Industrial Studies (University of Piraeus).
From 1980 until 1991 he was working at the National Bank of Investment and Industrial Development (ETEBA) and from 1991 until 1996 |
was the Deputy General Manager of Interamerican Group. From March 1996 until April 2004 he was Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Greece, whilst at the same time was President, Vice President or Member of Boards related to Companies in the interests of the National Bank of Greece. He was also Vice-Chairman of the Athens Stock Exchange, Chairman of the Central Securities Deposiory etc.
In May 2004 he joined Piraeus Bank Group as Vice-Chairman and Deputy Managing Director and in January 2009 he became Vice-Chairman and Deputy CEO. Mr Pantalakis has also served as Chairman of TRASTOR REIC S.A. and member of Boards of Directors to companies in the interests of the Piraeus Bank Group.
He undertook the position of Chairman-Governor of Agricultural Bank of Greece in December 2009 and holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of various subsidiaries of ATEbank Group.
Mr Pantalakis is also Chairman of the Banking Department of the Association of SA & LTD Companies, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Reliance General Insurance Co and Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Banking Association.
